Service and access
PDFScribe API accepts PDFs and supported images and produces canonical, ordered JSON. Access is by approved invitation. You are responsible for accurate account details, authorized organization members, credential security and use through documented interfaces. Do not use the service if you do not agree to these terms, the privacy policy and acceptable-use policy. The service is not directed at children under 16.
Customer data and output
You retain ownership of your customer data. You authorize us to access, process, transmit and store it only as needed to provide and secure the service and meet legal obligations. You must have the rights and permissions to submit it. AI extraction can be incomplete or inaccurate: review output before relying on it, especially for consequential decisions. The service provides no professional advice or special regulated-data certification.
Prepaid credit and usage
Billing uses one-time prepaid credit purchases. There are no subscriptions, recurring charges or automatic renewals. The active price book is shown before use and snapshotted when a job is accepted. New work reserves credit before queueing. Only successfully processed pages are charged; failed or unprocessed pages release their reservation. Existing reservations can finish after available credit reaches zero; new work is denied until sufficient credit is available. Email failure does not change the ledger.
An approved first owner receives the current USD5 welcome credit once, after accepting the invitation. A pending invitation is not an activated account or a completed grant. Credit and accounting disputes are reviewed through support and audited controls. Nothing here removes rights or remedies that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.
Limits, retention and availability
Use the published limits, idempotency and retry instructions. Processing depends on document quality and external services; uninterrupted availability or perfect accuracy is not guaranteed. Keep your own source documents and download needed results before their retention window expires. The privacy policy explains snapshot retention and cleanup limitations. Separate written agreements govern any specifically agreed service commitments.
Misuse, changes and applicable law
We may restrict access to protect the service or investigate policy violations. Where appropriate, we will explain the restriction and how to contact us. Updated prices or policies apply through their published versions and applicable notices; accepted jobs retain their snapshots. These terms are governed by the law of the jurisdiction where Veridian Labs LTD is registered, subject to mandatory rights under applicable law. The jurisdiction is available on request to [email protected] and disclosed when legally required. A separately signed agreement governs its covered subject where it conflicts with these terms.
Company liability framework
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary or punitive damages, including lost profit, data, opportunity or business interruption. Total cumulative liability is limited to the greater of fees you paid in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim or US$100. These limits do not apply to breach of confidentiality, gross negligence, willful misconduct, indemnification obligations, or liability that applicable law does not allow to be limited. A separately negotiated agreement governs its own liability terms.
Indemnification and confidentiality
You agree to indemnify and defend Veridian Labs LTD and its officers, employees, agents and affiliates against third-party claims arising from your customer data, your breach of these terms or your violation of law. We agree to indemnify and defend you against third-party claims that the service as supplied and used in accordance with these terms infringes intellectual property rights, subject to prompt written notice, our control of defense and settlement, reasonable cooperation and the liability framework above.
Each party must use the other party's confidential information only to perform these terms and protect it with reasonable care. Customer data, account details, commercial terms and nonpublic technical information are confidential. Information already lawfully known, independently developed, lawfully received without restrictions or public without breach is excluded. Confidentiality obligations survive termination for five years. Neither party is liable for delay beyond reasonable control, except payment obligations; the affected party must give prompt notice and make reasonable efforts to mitigate the effect.
